The Adventure Dog

Schedule a Call

  • We’ll schedule a call to chat about what you’re looking for in a session, your dogs and your timeline! This will help me get to know you and find a location that is tailored to your needs and vision.

Pick a Date

  • I prefer to nail down a date before we pick a location. I know how busy your schedule can get so I want to make sure we are carving out plenty of time for our session!

Pick a Location - around the PNW unless traveling is scheduled

  • This is the fun part! Picking a location starts by selecting the type of landscape you want. We are lucky here in the PNW to have such a variety of rivers, mountains, lakes, beaches etc. Once you give me some ideas of the backdrop you have in mind, I will send a few ideas!

How it Works

The Adventure Experience

  • Sessions are scheduled in the mornings (sunrise-9am) or sunset (a minimum of 1.5 hours prior)

  • Two dogs included, +$50 for each additional dog

  • Sessions last anywhere from 1.5-3 hours depending on location and number of dogs

  • Includes a minimum of 50 edited images in both color and black and white

  • Off leash is NOT required and a majority of dogs remain on leash during your session

FAQs

  • Absolutely! 90% of the dogs photographed on my website are on a leash and the leash is removed in final edits. I bring long lines and slip leads for your dog to use for safety. I also prefer dogs on leash and be safe, then be off and be out of control!

  • Hey, same. My Doberman mix, Monty, struggles with other dogs so I totally understand where you are coming from and the frustration behind this. Let me know that this is something your dog struggles with and we’ll take it into account when picking our location.

  • Yes! Adventure sessions are for everybody. Most adventure sessions don’t even include a big adventure, but are a short walk from the parking lot. The adventure is up to you and some of my shorter hikes are around 2 miles but I’m also happy to hike up to 8 for a session.

  • Many of my locations are a short walk from the parking lot. Outdoor sessions or whatever you wanna make of it and we’ll pick a location based on the needs of you and your pup.

  • Absolutely! The adventure session package includes two dogs with a $50 add-on per additional dog. I’m happy to have as many dogs as you would like as long as we’re able to keep them all under control. For three or more dogs, I ask that you bring a friend or someone else to help wrangle the dogs.

  • I’m Seattle base, but I travel down to Portland a few times each year. I’m happy to travel around the Pacific Northwest for any type of session. I also travel down to California and around the country frequently and spend some time on the East Coast in September.

  • While I love photographing families, adventure sessions are pet focused. I ask that you leave young children at home so we can spend our time celebrating your four-legged friends. Of course there are exceptions to any rule and I’m happy to discuss this further.
